St. Christopher Children's Home Service Project
Jomilah Farrell's baptism and Mr. Toad's "Wild Ride"
The Young Women, their leaders, Donville Paul and LJ Payne (non-member) sang the closing song, "Be Strong and of Good Courage" or something to that effect.
No matter how squished five adults are in the backseat of a Corolla, it's worth it when at the end of the wild ride are Marriott Guava BBQ Ribs!
Dinner Guests at Our House
Yvette and St. Clair Jarvis came to dinner after July's Fast and Testimony Meeting.
Content after a long hard day and a light late supper are L-R President Hymas, Sister Alvarado, President Alvarado, Emmanuel Maldonado, Sister Hymas, empty chair (where Elder Button should be but he was at the Silver Reef condo with a fever), Sister Button, Sister Galan and President Galan.
John Makoni and a friend he met at medical school, "J", took a ferry and a scooter ride to come to church Sunday. They came to our house for Hawaiian Haystacks afterward.
Sisters in the kitchen, where almost everything happens!

Branch Clean-up; Nicole Makoni
As we all remember singing in Primary, "Saturday is a special day, it's the day we get ready for Sunday"....... What you see of Sister Allred, YW president, is behind; Sister Harris, RS counselor, is supervising; Sister Vazquez, med student wife, just finished wiping ceiling fans.
Cleo Pemberton, Primary president, was happy to be cleaning this classroom while her romantic interest was busy cleaning in the men's room!Brother Gonzalez worked outside but came to the rescue when those of us inside cleaning the baptismal font screamed, "A CENTIPEDE!" Brother Persaud is under the car, which is his usual place. Damon and Brennan Allred weren't much help but they weren't any trouble either!

We chose this picture of Nicole Makoni because she was happier when she arrived in St. Kitts than when she left.

Small JNF General Hospital Project
Got just what we expected from the media at the little humanitarian proejct ground-breaking ceremony for a steam-boiler room addition to the laundry at Joseph N. France General Hospital in Basseterre Monday, 20 June 2011. NOTHING . . . except this female "reporter" who showed up after the fact with no press ID, no camera, no recorder. Not even a paper or pencil!
Slim-Jim told us to "just hang loose."
Pictures that follow happened before the "reporter" arrived.
Let the construction begin!
